Pars Pro Toto
Pars Pro Toto takes the ideas explored in /L:up/ to a group of 6 dancers. The work explores the relationship between repetition, information and understanding. It is concerned with the relationship of individual parts and the whole. Does our understanding of what we are looking at become more complex with repetition, are we able to see more? Repetition invites an audience to become familiar with a set of abstract movements and shapes; developing a relationship to them every time they are re-seen.
